i originally counted six birds. i now count six photographs. this is an important distinction and i have updated the file accordingly.
the cameras were on the OUTSIDE.

why would you need
that many spare cameras?
i am putting the material here because every time i explain this from the beginning somebody asks about batteries and we lose another afternoon. the batteries have their own page. so does the head. please use the index.

the P-4 drawing — the left foot problem
before you email:
yes. two feet on the same wire do not make a useful circuit. i know. i have written this down now four times.
what interests me is that somebody went to the trouble of drawing contact shoes in the first place.
WHY DRAW A SERVICEABLE FOOT?
and why does the assembly sheet tell the technician to check the left one before release?

the fact that there is a bakery underneath has been noted.
this does not explain the timetable. it may explain the timetable. i am keeping both possibilities on the page until i have finished the observations.

the question is not whether pigeons stabilize their vision. the question is why the movement looks so much like a very small piece of office equipment.

a note about certainty
i have a folder full of pigeons, a diagram that doesn't add up, and a photograph that does. that is where we are. if you are looking for a finished explanation, you have arrived too early.
